E NGINE M AINTENANCE
The engine in your Nautique will need to be checked and serviced at regular
intervals. You may be able to do some of the maintenance while a Correct
Craft dealer or PCM certified mechanic should be used for the more intensive
work.

ARNING: The maintenance instructions given in this manual are to
be performed with extreme caution. Improper or careless actions on the
part of the person performing maintenance on your boat or engine could
result in severe personal injury, property damage and or death. Before
performing any operating or maintenance procedure covered in this
manual, be certain to read the entire manual to be certain you fully
understand the procedure. Proceed only when you determine that you
may do so in complete safety. Contact your Correct Craft/PCM dealer
for any maintenance service which you are unable to perform in
complete safety.
This manual includes operational instructions and maintenance schedules that
are usually required in normal service. Do not attempt any repairs that are not
specifically covered in this manual. Strict compliance to the recommendations
for lubrication, maintenance, operation etc., will provide you superior
performance and dependable service. Improper maintenance or use of
unsuitable products will affect your warranty coverage.
PCM Delivery Inspection
Before you pick up your boat from your dealer, speak with them to make
certain the following items have been checked. Items to be checked include,
but are not limited to:
• Engine oil level
• Engine timing
• Tension of all belts
• Idle speed
• Drain plugs in engine
• Water lines
• Throttle control operation
• Alternator output
• All lubrication points
• Prop shaft alignment
• Battery charge
• Prop size and nut
• All fuel/oil lines
